This is so simple Use the plunger to suck up a gulp of hot water and just squirt it into the boiler. It takes seconds!

And then suck out excess water after the steam-up.

Volume is 60ml. This is in excess of the volume of a Traction Engine boiler.

The metal end piece is the right length to fit into the boiler to then be fed to the bottom when emptying the unwanted water after a steam up.
